Take Off!!

Dear Fuel International Friends and Supporters,

The Fuel International Baja Mexico Legacy Trip has officially begun!  Wow!  I am so overwhelmed with the love and support that I’ve experienced this last week as I’ve been doing last minute fundraising and preparing for this legacy trip.  Everywhere I turn someone is handing me a donation or praying over me…or both!  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  I needed this encouragement!  I go in confidence on this trip knowing I am emerged in prayer from across the nation!

As many of you know, there are many mixed emotions going on inside of me about this trip.  I didn’t intentionally plan it this way, but it dawned on me that this trip is taking place exactly on the 3 year anniversary of my last missions trip with Dan to Baja Mexico.  Dan preached his final sermon ever at Pastor Carlos’s church.  I know this is a very significant trip as I return to this incredible place of ministry.  Many young people’s lives were changed on short-term teams here in Baja Mexico.  Many Mexican lives have also been changed.

I am humbled and honored to be going once again to minister alongside Pastor Carlos and Gina and their church family.  I’m expecting great things!

By the way, ALL of the funds for my trip and for the three tents came in yesterday!   I’m so excited to be able to purchase the tents for Pastor Carlos!

Travel Schedule: I am actually through security and at my gate waiting to board a 10:45am flight from Denver to San Diego.  My friend Chiara, another teacher and Fuel International alumnus from California, is joining me in San Diego.  Some friends of Pastor Carlos will be picking us up from the airport in San Diego and will take us as far as the border crossing.  At the border, Chiara and I will walk across with all of our luggage and meet Pastor Carlos and Gina on the other side.  (I’ve never walked across the border before!  New beginnings on this trip!) Thank you for your prayers for travel mercies, favor, and divine appointments each step of the way.

(I learned and always taught others to only pack what you can carry, but I may have overdone myself this time!  One suitcase is for me, and one is for items to give away….and or course, lots of SNACKS!!)

President

I with Pastor Carlos and Gina by the ocean in Baja Mexico a few years ago.
