Is your church ready to get serious about missions? Are you ready to take the plunge?
Is your church ready to take the next step in reaching a Priority People Group? You can reach out to your Priority People Group by sending a mid-term missions team from YOUR congregation! Mobilize “This Generation” to the nations. Your church is filled with people who have gifts and talents to impact the lives of people who have yet to hear about Jesus Christ. Talk about the adventure of a lifetime! If there are members in your church that are presently attending college, they can become a part of the team and continue their education while they are on the missions field!
Dynamics of Mid-Term Missions
- It is the coming together of a TEAM of people who are trained, equipped, fired up, and focused on reaching a specific Priority People Group or Groups
- There is a specific commitmet of time, minimum of two years, to accomplish specific goals in a specific nation. The overall strategy will be laid out for 5 or 10 years with other mid-term teams following to pick up where the previous team left off.
- Work alongside national pastors and leaders to see Priority People Groups adopted, reached, and a church-planting movement started amongst them
- Experience the power of God work through each team member through hands on ministry including but not limited to teaching (i.e. pastors conferences, aids awareness, children’s ministry, health issues), preaching (i.e. in churches, in villages, street outreach), one-on-one evangelism, humanitarian aid (i.e. medical clinics, water filtration projects, construction projects), and praying for the physcial, mental, and spiritual needs of the people
Pre-requisites
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have been on a short-term missions trip or have prior overseas missions experience
- Prior ministry experience with your local church or other local ministry
- Pastor’s Recommendation
- Raise financial support for the two year commitment
