Community is Joining In to Help Haiti
As Fuel International has partnered with our church to help bring relief to Haiti, it has been amazing to watch over the past several days as the community here in Arkansas has been joining in to help collect donations for Haiti. One church and school in a nearby community is going on a flip-flop binge! Their goal is to purchase 5,000 flip flops to send on the containers to Haiti. The Law Department at the University of Arkansas is collecting rice, beans, and oil for the containers. For the next nine weeks, Wal-Greens is welcoming collections in their parking lots in several locations in Arkansas for donated items for Haiti, and Dominos Pizza is giving away slices of pizza to the first five hundred donors at these locations! It’s wonderful seeing the community pulling together to help those in dire need. Our church is in connection with a group of 53 doctors that have been working several days now with earthquake victims there in Haiti. We are in the process of working out the logistics to send more medical supplies to resupply them and to begin taking down the containers of food and other donated items. Thank you to everyone who has participated in one way or another. If you would like to help, you can send money contributions to help purchase supplies for the containers or to help transport the donated medical supplies and other goods. Every dollar counts!!! You can send your donation to Fuel International, PO Box 68, Jenks, OK 74037 or donate on-line. One hundred percent of your donation will go towards helping the people in Haiti.
